I was the fifth employee at Sifteo, a $12.5M game platform start-up originated at the MIT Media Lab. Among other accolades, we were named one of Fast Company’s Top 10 Most Innovative Consumer Electronic Companies of 2012.
As Sifteo grew in the course of the two years that I was there, my role shifted from User Advocate to UX Design Researcher. I conducted weekly playtests in people's homes, at children's museums, and at schools. In preparation for the launch of our product, I led a longitudinal study and reported back weekly findings based on survey responses.
As the sole designer on the team, I assumed all UX responsibilities, ranging from website design, persona-creation, and user flows to graphic and print design. A sample of this work is shown below.
